A Hartselle woman was arrested and charged with two counts of fraudulent use of a credit card at Walgreens on Beltline Road in Decatur Aug. 1.
James Clemons contacted Decatur Police about fraudulent use of his credit card June 7. Both uses were at Walgreens on May 13 and 15. These transactions were caught on surveillance video, and Brook Kimberly Hanvey, 24, was developed as a suspect.
Detective Brent Best of the Financial Crimes Unit obtained two warrants for Hanvey’s arrest. Officers located Hanvey Aug. 1 and arrested and charged her with illegal possession or fraudulent use of a credit card.
Hanvey was taken to the Decatur City Jail and held with a $5,000 bond.
