Funeral for Ethel Mae Brown, 97, of Danville was Mon., Aug. 26, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Roger Collins officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Brown died Fri., Aug. 23, 2013. She was born Jan.18, 1916, in Lawrence County to William Henry Smith and Lucy Etta (Smith) Smith. She was a member of Danville United Methodist Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Brown.
She is survived by a son, Rayburn D. Brown of Danville; a daughter, Brenda Walker of Dutton; three sisters, Lois Childers, Madith Wright and Nellavine Glover, all of Danville; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Rodney Byrd, Perry Byrd, Cody Brown, Tim Brown, Ken Robbin Walker and Robert Hester.
Honorary pallbearers were Mark Byrd, Roger Burrow, Marshall Antenson and Dewayne Carson.
