Country artist Randy Houser to headline 2013 Riverfest

Country artist Randy Houser and The Cadillac Three will headline the 19th annual Riverfest barbecue competition and music festival at Ingall’s Harbor in Decatur Sat. Sept. 13-14.

Houser will headline Friday night’s entertainment. He recently released his third album, “How Country Feels,” which has already spawned a No. 1 Billboard Heatseekers and Top 10 single.

He will be joined by country artists Josh Thompson and Brent Cobb.

Saturday night’s headliner will be The Cadillac Three, sharing the stage with returning favorite, Rollin in the Hay, country newcomer Jessta James and other local artists.

The Cadillac Three recently signed with Big Machine Records.

Riverfest, presented by Decatur Jaycees and Valley Budweiser Inc., is recognized as an Alabama State Barbecue Championship and an Alabama Top 25 Food Event in 2012.

It features approximately 120 professionals and amateur cook teams competing in a KCBS sanctioned competition, as well as two days of music ad family-friendly activities.

It is hosted by the Jaycees as an annual fundraiser for local non-profit organizations. Beneficiaries in 2-12 were Habitat for Humanity of Morgan County, FACES (Families and Children experiencing Separation), Rebuilding Together and Morgan County Rescue Squad. Clear Channel Communications, Kingsford and Pepsi are co-sponsors.

Weekend passes and one-day only tickets are available online at www.decaturriverfest.com. Weekend passes at $30 and daily tickets are $20. Children 10 and under are free.
