Senior Aaron Davis set the pace for Hartselle High School’s cross country team as he ran a personal best time in the Chickasaw Trails Invitational on Saturday.

Davis finished 24th in a field of 342 runners in the boys 5A/6A division with a time of 17:06.77. The first place runner finished the course in 16:16.25.

His sister, Abigail Davis, a sophomore, finished first for Hartselle in the girls’ run. She logged a time of 21:52.90 (also a personal best) and finished in 85th in a field of 310 runners.

Hartselle’s boys came in 26th as a team while the girls finished 28th.
