Hartselle winner over Lady Patriots

Hartselle’s Lady Tigers came out the winners in a volleyball tri-match at Brewer on Tuesday and emerged with a 14-9 overall record and 2-0 in area competition.

Hartselle defeated the Lady Patriots, 26-24, 22-25,15-9, and Albertville, 25-10, 25-21.

Haley Jared was the scoring leader against Brewer with 13 kills, 10 digs and a pair of blocks. Taylor Lybarger added eight kills, 11 digs and an ace, Megan Zuck had nine kills and a dig, Melissa-Paul Hill scored 29 assists, six digs, two aces and a block and a kill, Sarah Ellen Battles had 18 digs, Bailey Powell collected a pair of kills and 18 digs and Katy Beth Bole has three digs, a block and a kill.

Jared also led the way against Albertville with eight kills, five digs and an ace. Zuck had seven kills and a dig, Lybarger added five kills, seven digs and an ace, Hill scored 18 assists, seven digs, a block and a kill, Battles had 16 digs, two assists and a kill, Powell added three kiils and three blocks, Barbrey had three digs, an assist and an ace and Bole had a pair of kills, a block and two digs.
