God is a dependable guide

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. In Psalm 23:1 David tells us that God is seen as a caring and dependable guide. We must follow Him and obey His commands, He is our only hope for eternal life and security. When we allow our Shepherd God to guide us we have contentment. When we choose to sin and we go our own way we cannot blame God for the trouble that we create for ourselves. We must remember this the next time we are tempted to go our own way rather than the Shepherd’s way.
