Lady Tigers still undefeated in area

Hartselle’s Lady Tigers extended their unbeaten record in area competition to 5-0 in a volleyball tri-match at home on Tuesday.

They improved their record to 32-12, 5-0 by defeating area foe East Limestone 24-26, 25-12, 25-16, 25-15 and picking up a win against Walker 25-17, 25-16.

In the win against East Limestone, Haley Jared paced the Lady Tigers with 14 kills, 13 digs, five blocks and an ace. Taylor Lybarger had 10 kills, seven digs, four blocks and four aces, Megan Zuck scored 10 kills, seven digs, four blocks, two aces and an assist, Melissa-Paul Hill collected 37 assists, eight digs, three kills, two blocks and two aces, Sarah Ellen Battles had 22 digs and an ace, Bailey Powell had six kills and two blocks, Katy Beth Bole; scored six kills, four blocks and a dig and Jordan Barbrey had nine digs and two assists.

Jared also led the way against Walker with seven kills, six digs, a block and an ace. Lybarger logged six kills, six digs and a block, Zuck had three kills, three digs three blocks and four aces, Hill scored 20 assists, three digs, two aces and two kills, Battles recorded 10 digs, Powell had five kills, Barbrey collected six digs and four assists and Bole had three kills and a dig.
