The No. 6 Falkville Blue Devils beat the Donoho Falcons 30-13 on homecoming to remain perfect on the season.

On a night when Falkvile senior Lyndsey Moore was named homecoming queen, the Blue Devils scored 28 consecutive points after falling behind 7-2 to open the game.

After Hunter Woodall tackled the punter in the end zone for a safety on the Falcons first drive, Falcon quarterback Chris Carr scored on a 29-yard keeper with 9:04 to play in the second quarter. Mitchell Baker added the extra point.

That would be Donoho’s only lead of the game.

Woodall capped a 71-yard, 11-play drive with a six-yard touchdown. He added a two-point conversion giving Falkville a 10-7 lead with 3:29 to play in the half.

Ryan Sullivan found Austin Kritner on a 54-yard pass play for a touchdown with 1:12 left before halftime. Kritner finished with 60 yards on two catches.

Falkville’s Zach Garrison ended a Falcons scoring opportunity with a sack of 20 yards as time expired in the half.

Sullivan connected with Woodall on a 25-yard touchdown pass, pushing the FHS lead to 23-7 with 10:33 in the third quarter. Woodall had 101 all-purpose yards on 16 touches with rushing and receiving touchdowns.

Cade Wilemon ended another Donoho drive by recovering a fumble later in the quarter.

Sullivan threw his third touchdown of the night on a 17-yard strike to Logan Vinson with 1:37 to play in the third quarter. Sullivan completed 13 of 18 passes for 131 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions. He also managed 112 yards on 14 carries.

Vinson had four catches for 28 yards.

Donoho quarterback Chris Carr answered with a touchdown pass to Kevin Carr with 18 seconds to play in the third period, but neither team would threaten in fourth quarter.

Falkville finished with 379 yards of total offense. Shawn Mears led the defensive front with nine tackles on the night. Tyler Woodall had six, while Aaron Estes and Zach Garrison each had five tackles. Woodall and Estes both managed two break-ups on defense.

Falkville will not play until Oct. 18, where they will host No. 4 Addison at Burl Vest Stadium at 7 p.m.
