Hamilton builds big lead, cruises past Danville

Hamilton QB Justin Scott ran and passed for four 1st half touchdowns to lead the Aggies to a 35-6 Class 3A Region 7 win over Danville last Friday night at Smith-Owens Stadium.
Scott’s two rushing touchdowns (13 and 1 yards) helped Hamilton take a 15-0 1st quarter lead over Danville.
A Hawk turnover on the opening play of the second quarter set up the Aggies third touchdown, a 46-yard pass from Scott to Terry Parker. The extra point failed, but Hamilton led 21-0 early in the second quarter.
Hamilton’s next score came after an exchange of punts gave the ball to the Aggies at the Danville 47. Blake Stidham connected with Colton Brown on a 14-yard pass giving Hamilton a 28-0 lead with 5:30 left in the first half.
Hamilton would take a 35-0 lead into the locker room as Scott hooked up with Tre Lark for a 73-yard pass.
Danville got the only points of the second half on a 25-yard pass from Colton McCay to Sawyer Hood. The PAT failed making the score 35-6 in favor of Hamilton.
Danville will play county rival Falkville Friday night at Smith-Owens Stadium in the Hawks final game of the 2013 season.
