Marsha Brakefield

A graveside service for Marsha Brakefield, 69, of Tarrant, formerly of Tuscaloosa, will be Thur., Nov. 7, at 2 p.m. at Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home of Tuscaloosa directing.

Ms. Brakefield passed away peacefully at her home on Mon., Nov. 4, 2013. She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Dawson Mitchell; stepfather, Robert F. Mitchell; father, Henry Brakefield; and a sister, Linda Nahrstedt and husband Jerry.

She is survived by a son, Michael Bowen (Peter Tepley) of Birmingham; a daughter, Lynn Warren and husband Les of Hartselle; a brother, Jack Brakefield and wife Sharon of Calera; a sister, Sandra Brown and husband Rayburn of Northport; two grandchildren, Mitchell and Hannah Warren; nieces; nephews; and cousins.

Honorary pallbearers will be David Farrar, Tiffany Pardue, Buddy and Constance Dawson, Debbie and Eliana Dawson, Richard Tubbs, Marcia Blount, the 1962 Class of Tuscaloosa County High School, Haskell-Slaughter Law Firm, the staff of Bruno Cancer Center and St. Vincent’s Hospital.
