Gladys Clemons

Funeral for Gladys Clemons, 84, will be Wed., (today), Nov. 27, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Charlie Brown and Richard Cassis officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Powell’s Chapel Cemetery.

Ms. Clemon’s died Sun., Nov. 24, 2013, at her residence. She was born Sept. 19, 1929, in Cullman County to Farris Knox and Cora Lee Brewer Knox. She was a member of West End United Methodist Church. She once partnered with her son to own her own Wagon Wheel Light Company. She was retired from Cerro Wire and loved to travel, read, watch action movies and attend family gatherings, especially for her birthday. She was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Knox and her parents.

She is survived by two sons, Spencer Clemons and Junior Clemons, both of Hartselle, three daughters, Carolyn Hobbs of Johnston, S.C., Patricia Hill of Jacksonville and Janice Clemons of Hartselle; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
