Funeral for Johnny E. Hampton, 63, of Decatur was Mon., Nov. 25, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Brian Wilbanks officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial was in Hartselle Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Hampton died Sat., Nov. 23, 2013, at his residence. He was born Oct. 28, 1950, in Jefferson County to Earl Hampton and Nina Fay Kirkpatrick Hampton. He was formerly employed by Wolverine Tube as an inspector/helper. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by a son, Larry Hampton and wife Angela of Hartselle; daughter, Amanda Taylor and husband Terry of Hartselle; three brothers, Russell Hampton and Mike Hampton, both of Decatur and Tony Nelson of Hartselle; two sisters, Dale Kirkland of Madison and Jackie Lansdell of Danville; four grandchildren, Blake Hampton, Adam Hampton, Austin Taylor and Katelyn Taylor; and special friend, Sue St. Antioine.

Pallbearers were family members.
