Shady Grove Baptist welcomes everyone to attend their services

Members of Shady Grove Baptist Church extend a warm welcome to everyone to attend their church services. The pastor is Bro.Tom Campbell. Services are listed as follows: Sunday: fellowship and coffee and donuts at 9:00 a.m.; Sunday school, 9:30 a.m.; worship service. 10:30 a.m.; contemporary worship service, 6 p.m.; Tuesday, prayer meeting for young men,7 p.m.; Wednesday, fellowship supper, -6 p.m.; children’s choir, 6:30 p.m.; Acteens and youth, 6: 30 p.m.; College and Career Bible study,6: 30 p.m.; adult Bibles study,7 p.m.

Frances Vest Rowe of Massey hosted a covered dish lunch for friends and classmates of the Falkville High School Class of 1965 on Sat., Nov. 23. Those attending were Diane Thompson Legg, Kay Harvey Orr, Alene Cooper Vest, Bonnie Cagle Self, Mary Cordar Wood, Patsy Steele Bramlett, Judy Smith Horst, Nora Millican, Nancy McCoy Wallace and Mary Morris Yarbrough.

Christian love and heartfelt sympathy go out this week to the family of Brian Randolph who passed away on Fri., Nov. 22. Hiss funeral was at Neel United Methodist Church on Mon., Nov. 25, at 2 p.m. He and his wife Michelle were active in Danville School, community activities and farm organizations. Many knew Michelle from her beauty shop at their home on Tanner Road. Their children are Lucas, Dustin and Kohl Randolph.

Vivian Summerford and Letha Hopkins of Roundtop enjoyed their family Thanksgiving meal Wednesday night, Nov. 27, at the home of Shannon and Bill Hopkins in Priceville. Others attending were Emma and Weston Hopkins, T. J. Holmes, Justin and Jessie Holmes, Kaleb and Keianna, Shane and Kelly Hopkins, Anna Katherine, Elijah and Evan.

Lewie and Peggy Rogers of Johnson Chapel and Pam and Evie Chaffin of Spanish Fort attended the funeral of Lewie’s nephew, Grant Campbell, in Tuscumbia on Thur., Nov. 21. Peggy and Lewie later went back to Spanish Fort to spend the Thanksgiving holidays with the Chaffins.

Bob and Charlotte Wise spent several days during the Thanksgiving holidays at her home in Lacon. They visited Donna and Steve Woods of Massey and attended a baby shower for Allison Albert at Roundtop recently and the Thanksgiving service at Mt Zion Baptist Church on Sun., Nov. 24. They returned to Homewood for Thanksgiving and an Auburn football party at the home of Mary Emery in Shelby County on Sat., Nov. 30.

Darryl and Marla Robinson and sons, Slater and Garrett, spent Thanksgiving Day with Darryl’s family at the home of his parents,A. D. and Maxine Robinson north of Florence. On Fri., Nov. 29, Darryl and Marla hosted a dinner for Todd and Mary Sims and Todd Jr. of Huntsville and Frances deGraffenried and daughter Emma Ried of Tuscaloosa.
