Peck-Glasgow Agency Inc. has announced the recent acquisition of Shelton-Hunter Inc., increasing its staff to 25 with four offices serving insurance clients in Hartselle, Madison, Decatur and Moulton.
Peck-Glasgow is an independent insurance agency now serving over 5,000 families in the Tennessee Valley. It offers its clients auto, home, business, life and health insurance coverage written through more than 25 different insurance companies.
“This acquisition is important to us because it gives us the resources we need to serve clients across Alabama,” said Jim Peck who is co-owner with Art Glasgow.
“All four offices will operate under the name Peck-Glasgow,” he added, “and we’re in the process of changing the signage at the Shelton-Hunter offices.”
“We’re really excited about what this means for our business,” said Glasgow. “Shelton-Hunter is an established, successful agency with a dedicated, professional staff. Bringing it into our company will enable us to broaden the services we offer our clients and help us grow in other areas.
He said Shelton-Hunter’s former co-owners Jo Hunter and Sandy Shelton will continue in their present positions and all other personnel will be retained by Peck-Glasgow.
Peck-Glasgow has been recognized as a “Best Practices Agency” by the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America for the last seven years.
