Authorities look for missing man
Morgan County Sheriff’s deputies, Lacey’s Spring volunteer firefighters and Morgan County Rescue squad are combining their efforts today to locate an elderly man who was reported missing from his home.
Sheriff Ana Franklin stated in a press release that Franklin Howard Payne, 74, who lives at a Pine Hill Circle address in Lacey’s Spring is the person whose whereabouts is being sought. Relatives reported last seeing him in his home at around 1 a.m. Tuesday. He suffers from dementia. He is believed to be wearing a dark-colored T-shirt and is described as being 5’-10” tall and weighing about 175 pounds. He has white hair and blue eyes. He may be accompanied by a black and white Shiatsu dog. If anyone has contact with him, they are asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 256-301-1174.
