Hartselle couple faces drug charges
The execution of a search warrant by the Morgan County Drug Task Force in Hartselle Tuesday resulted in the arrest of a man and woman on drug charges.
Agents located approximately four ounces of marijuana and hydrocodone pills along with drug paraphernalia at a residence at 910 Main St. W. in Hartselle. Subsequently, they arrested the occupants, James Douglas Oden, 37, and Tamra Oden, 30.
He was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, first degree, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and illegal attempt to purchase ephedrine/pseudoephedrine.
He was remanded to Morgan County jail under a $7,800 bond.
She was charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and jailed under a $300 bond.
Sheriff Ana Franklin said in a news release that the same residence was searched on Nov. 10, resulting in the arrest of several individuals on drug-related charges. Since that time, they were advised that individuals were seen going to and from the residence, which was believed to be drug-related. Agent obtained another search warrant after leaning that Oden had attempted to purchase pseudoephedrine illegally due to a prior drug-related conviction.
