Pubic Works employees Jerry McClure, Byron Turney, Melvin Hunter, Garland Gillman and Charles “Tiny” Boardman, from left, were among over 100 city and HU employees who ate Christmas dinner at the Fine Arts Center on Thursday.

More than 100 city and Hartselle Utilities employees shared in a Christmas dinner sponsored by Hartselle Area Chamber of Commerce on Thursday.

The festive holiday meal of turkey and dressing and all the trimmings was catered by Hometown Market and served in the auditorium of Hartselle Fine Arts Center. Hartselle Beautification Association provided desserts.

Greeters and servers included C of C officers, directors and Ambassadors, city officials and other volunteers. The auditorium was decorated with a Christmas tree, garland, white tablecloths and Poinsettias.

“We are so appreciative of our city employees for all they do for us throughout the year,” said Chamber president Susan Hines. “Feeding them a Christmas dinner gives us the opportunity to say thanks and wish them a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.”

“We’re also thankful to our sponsors for helping us cover the cost of the meal,” she added.

The employees registered as they arrived and were eligible to win door prices, which were donated by local businesses.
