Marlin Clarence Horton

Funeral for Marlin Clarence Horton, 83, of Hartselle was Thurs., Dec. 19, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Dewitt Crowe officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial was in Holly Pond Cemetery in Cullman County.

Mr. Horton died Mon., Dec. 16, 2013, at his residence. He was born May 9, 1930, in Cullman County to Art Horton and Grace Ilene Scott Horton.

He was a member of Southwest Baptist Church and was the owner of an auto body shop. He was also a U.S. Army-Korean War veteran. He was preceded in death by a son, Glen A Horton; his parents; and a sister, Ola Gay Estes.

He is survived by his wife, Bettie Joyce Horton of Hartselle; daughter-in-law, Sharon G. Horton of Cullman; four brothers, Joel Horton, J.C. Horton and wife Evelyn, Millard Horton and wife Jackie of Cullman and Donald Horton and wife Pat; and a sister, Thelmar William and husband Ben of Cullman, and a granddaughter, Jessica Lauren Horton of Cullman.

Pallbearers were Bobby Burks, Loyd Flack, Paul Bishop, Kenny Hays, Dickie Glenn and Gilmer Ellis.
