Church Calendar for Jan. 8, 2014

Sonrise Baptist Church, 1410 Thompson Road in Hartselle, will have a free outreach supper Sat., Jan..11, at 5:30 p.m. Everyone welcome. A singing and devotion will follow the meal.

Mt. Pleasant CME Church, 423 N. Bethel St., Hartselle, will have a gospel singing Sun., Jan. 19, at 2:30 p.m. featuring the Spiritual Motivators of Athens.

Salem United Methodist Church on Barkley Bridge Road is having a guitar fellowship. This is a program to teach guitar to beginners and provide an opportunity for more experienced players to enjoy playing together every Tuesday at 6 p.m. Come join us Tues., Jan. 14, and bring your own guitar.

McKendree United Methodist Church in Massey, is having a Swamp John’s dinner Jan. 17 from 4 to 7 p.m. Proceeds will go to the youth center.

Lighthouse Baptist Church Sunday school is at 10 a.m., worship services at 11 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Sundays. Wednesday worship is at 6:30 p.m. The pastor is Bro. John Reid.

Bethlehem Baptist Church holds Sunday school at 9:45 a.m., morning worship at 11 a.m., Training Union at 5 p.m., Men’s Prayer Warrior meeting at 5:45 p.m., Sunday evening worship at 6 p.m., Wednesday Bible study at 7 p.m. and Wednesday evening choir practice at 7:45 p.m.

Oak Ridge Baptist Church, located 2.5 miles west of Hartselle on Vaughn Bridge Road, offers services as follows: Sunday school at 10 a.m., worship service at 11 a.m., Wednesday Bible study at 6 p.m., Training Union at 5 p.m. and evening worship at 6 p.m. The public is welcome. First Independent Methodist Church, located on 3 Oxmore Flint Road in Decatur, with Pastor Hal Diagre invites everyone to Sunday School at 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m. worship service and Children’s Church, 5 p.m. Book Club and 6 p.m. worship service and Children’s Church.

West End United Methodist Church, located at 513 St. Clair St. in Hartselle, with the Rev. Richard Cassis hosts Sunday breakfast and fellowship at 9:45 a.m., Sunday school at 10 a.m., followed by welcome and announcements at 10:50 a.m. and worship service at 11 a.m. Sunday evening worship is at 5 p.m. Wednesday evening Bible study begins at 5 p.m. Bible study with children’s classes at 6 p.m.

Life House Assembly of God, located at 144 County Road 1212 in Vinemont, holds weekly services on the following schedule: Sunday morning worship and Kid Zone children’s church at 11 a.m. and Wednesday night Bible study at 6 p.m. Pastor is Howard Leslie.

Cave Springs Baptist Church, located at 187 Cave Springs Road, with Pastor Jason Moore, welcomes you to Sunday school at 9 a.m., morning worship at 10 a.m. discipleship training and AWANA (babies through eighth grade) at 5 p.m. with worship beginning at 6 p.m. On Wednesday, Bible study begins at 6:30 p.m. along with GAs and RAs.
