HCS to extend school days to make up lost day
Hartselle School Superintendent Dr. Vic Wilson said they will be extending several days of school to make up for the school day lost to extreme cold weather.
Wilson, who has been making appearances at school assemblies over the last week, informed students and teachers that they won’t hold school on Saturday or use a holiday to make up for the lost day of class.
“The only thing that would make us consider that is too many days lost to weather,” Wilson said.
Wilson said they haven’t decided which days will be extended. He plans to discuss this with the principals in the near future.
