Michael Anthony FitzPatrick

A celebration of life service for Michael Anthony FitzPatrick, 64, of Hartselle, formerly of Stafford, Va., will be Wed., Jan. 22, at 11 a.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Annunciation Of The Lord Catholic Church officiating.

Burial will be Thur., Jan. 23, at 2 p.m. in the Alabama National Cemetery at Montevallo with full military honors. Visitation will be Tues., Jan. 21, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. FitzPatrick died Jan.12, 2014, in Woodbridge, Va. He was born March 30,1949, in Salina. Kan. to Ellis and Sarah Jones FitzPatrick. After 28 years of active duty, he retired from the U.S. Army as an aviation quality control supervisor. Post retirement, he worked for the Army National Guard Headquarters and the Army Material Command (AMC) as an aviation logistician.

Mr. FitzPatrick is survived by his wife, Pamela FitzPatrick of Hartselle; a son, Michael Anthony FitzPatrick Jr. of Hartselle; four daughters, Cathrine FitzPatrick and Heather FitzPatrick, both of Hartselle, Andrea Moore, (James) of Woodbridge Va., Sarah English (Brian) of Ruther Glen, Va. and Heather FitzPatrick of Hartselle; two brothers, Arthur FitzPatrick of Medford, Ore., and Danny FitzPatrick of San Diego, Cal.; two sisters, Patricia Hawkins of Mesquite, Tex. and Sandra FitzPatrick of Illinois; six grandchildren, Nathaniel Payne Jr., Ethan Payne, Brandon FitzPatrick, Dillon Moore, Logan Moore,and Mathieu English.

Pallbearers will be provided by the military.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wounded
