Alene Barnett-Barton

Funeral for Mrs. Alene Barnett-Barton, 67, of Trinity will be Sun., Jan. 26, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Reeves officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Blue Springs Cemetery.

Mrs. Barnett-Barton died Thur., Jan. 23, 2014, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born Dec. 4, 1946, in Arkansas to William Hicks and Eva Burks Hicks. She was a loving mother and friend to all. She formerly worked for Dari-Delite. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Billy and Glenn Hicks.

She is survived by her husband, Hezzel Barnett of Trinity; three sons, Toney Lee Barnett (Gail) of Eva, Timmy Lee Barnett of Trinity and Tommy Joe Barnett (Cheryl) of Broken Arrow, Okla.; two daughters, Sandra Gail Thornsbury of Anniston and Crystal Gayle Barton of Hartselle; four brothers, Tom Hicks, Gary Hicks, Carl Hicks and Bobby Hicks, all of Michigan; two sisters, Margie Hicks and Diane Wilson, both of North Carolina; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandchildren.
