Extension System sets farm seminar
The Alabama Cooperative Extension System will host a series of seminars farm ownership transitions during the month of February.
The local session will be Mon., Feb. 17, at the Tennessee Valley Research and Extension Center in Belle Mina. Other sites are Thur., Feb. 6, at the Wiregrass Research and Extension Center in Headland and Thur., Feb. 27, at the Sand Mountain Research and Extension Center in Crossville. All sessions will begin at 5:15 p.m. with registration, followed by dinner.
The sessions are designed to provide farm families with tools to better ensure that farm operations are passed from one generation to another as smoothly as possible.. They also will help families assess the feasibility of two-generation farming and to develop communication and humans relationship skills essential for success.
Pre-registration is required one week before each scheduled program so that meal arrangements can be made and materials prepared.
