Funeral for Myrtis Irene Grant, 97, of Falkville will be Fri., Jan. 31, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Delmar Peoples officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in New Hope North Cemetery. Visitation will be Thur., Jan. 30, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Grant died Wed., Jan. 29, 2014, at Cullman County Long Term Care Center (The Folsom Center). She was born March 5, 1916, in Cullman County to Sherman Young and Myrtie Hilton Young. She was a homemaker and caretaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eskel Grant.

She is survived by four brothers, Wayne Young, Allen Young, Kenneth Young and Trainnice Young; a sister, Maillen Young; nephews, Roger Young, Mark Young, Mike Young and Larry Holt; six great-nephews; and two great nieces.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
