A Hartselle man is facing drug charges after authorities raided a home on Cedar Street NW in Hartselle Thursday night.
William David Starr, 53, of 920 Cedar St. NW in Hartselle was arrested and charged with the unlawful possession of felony drug paraphernalia and for the unlawful possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine. He also had on outstanding warrants on charges of unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance 1st degree – methamphetamine and unlawful possession of felony drug paraphernalia.
Starr was taken to the Morgan County Jail and is being held on bonds totaling $210,000.
The Morgan County Drug Task Force with the assistance of Hartselle Police Department and Alabama Beverage Control Drug Enforcement executed felony warrants and a search warrant at the suspect’s residence Thursday night. Authorities had received complaints of methamphetamine being manufactured at the residence.
Agents recovered a one-pot methamphetamine lab, along with chemicals and equipment associated in the manufacturing process of methamphetamine.
