Priceville back in NW Regional
Priceville exploded for 28 points in the fourth quarter to break open a tight game, en route to a 71-51 win over Central-Florence Friday night in a Class 4A Northwest Regional game Friday night.
They will take on Locust Fork, who defeated J.O. Johnson 61-44, in the Class 4A Northwest Regional at Wallace State Community College Feb. 20 at 3 p.m.
After giving up a lead early in the game, Priceville took control and never relinquished the lead. The Lady Bulldogs led 17-11 after the first quarter. The advantage was cut to 29-25 by halftime.
Priceville pushed the lead up to 43-35 at the end of the third quarter before putting the game out of reach in the final stanza.
Jada Beverly hit five 3-pointers to lead Priceville with 23 points, five assists and four rebounds. McKenzie Parker and Emilee Cunningham added 13 points each while Peyton Parker finished with 12 points and eight assists. Cunningham also had seven rebounds.
Alex Moore added six points while Ashlee Quinn and Kenzie Price added two points each.
The Lady Bulldogs went 26-for-31 at the foul line.
Abby Keener led Central with 20 points and Bailey Nelson had 10.
