DHS math team wins trophies at recent meets

Danville High School’s math team claimed third and fourth place finishes at recent math tournaments.

The algebra I team, geometry team, algebra II team and comprehensive team won third place in the small school division at a math tournament held at Albertville High School.

Individual winners were: algebra I – Alaina Wiley, fifth place, and Haley Bryson, 10th place; geometry – Gary Templeton, fourth place; algebra II – Austin Champion, sixth place; and comprehensive – Rebeca Williams, fifth place, and comprehensive – Shannon Howes, second place.

The team also competed at Muscle Shoals High School, finishing in fourth place.

Individual winners were: Rebeca Williams, fifth place; and Jessie Eddy, sixth place.
