Haskins, Tucker take top spots in Pinewood Derby

Hartselle Cub Scout Pack 92 held its annual Pinewood Derby on Saturday, Feb. 8, at the new Hartselle High School gymnasium.

This was also the first corporate sponsored derby for Hartselle. There were 15 corporate cars that raced along with 30 Scouts cars and eight family cars.

Matthew Haskins was the Overall Winner. Matthew Tucker was the Turtle Race winner. Chris Tucker of Tucker’s Grocery was the Corporate Race Overall Winner.

Best Non-Car Themed Design award went to Matthew Tucker. Jaegon Barnett’s car won the Best Sports Themed Design. Gaelin Pleasant received the honor for Most Unique Design.

The winners for the Tigers division were first place Michael Jackson, second place Noah Chunn and third place Robert Childers.
