James Jennings

Funeral for James Jennings, 82, of Lacey’s Spring will be Thur., Feb. 27, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harold Fowler officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Valhermoso Springs Cemetery.

Mr. Jennings died Mon., Feb. 24, 2014, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born Nov. 28, 1931, in Morgan County to James Wilbur Jennings and Inez Bramlett Jennings. He was retired from Caneer Construction where he worked as a carpenter. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Pernie Ward Jennings; four sons, Andy Jennings, Tim Jennings, Rodney Murphy and Arthur Murphy; six daughters: Kathy Jennings McDaniel, Jo Ballinger, Cindy Truett, Beverley Murphy, Allison Murphy and Deborah Gifford; two brothers, Fred Jennings and Ronald Jennings; a sister, Ann Dunnaway; three grandchildren; and a large number of great-grandchildren

Pallbearers will be Sammy Jennings, Shane Jennings, Flint Jennings, Eric Hughes, Tracy Hughes, Mike Jennings, Brandon Primeau and Kevin Primeau.
