Somerville woman hurt in Decatur crash
A Somerville woman and another Decatur driver was transported to the hospital following a crash at the intersection of Alabama 67 and U.S. 31 Wednesday morning.
A 2012 Chevrolet Colorado driven by 79-year-old Louise Elrod of Somerville collided with a 1994 Nissan pick-up driven by 81-year-old Chelcie Ellis of Decatur at the intersection Wednesday at 10:27 a.m.
Both drivers were transported to Decatur-Morgan Hospital by First Response ambulance service.
A press release by the Decatur Police Department indicated that a prior medical condition might have caused the collision. DPD is investigating the crash.
