Eva math team wins county

Eva Junior High Math Team consists of nine participants who have done extremely well for their first year of competitions. The students are Ben Shadden, Levi Kelley, Carter Brown, Brayden Henderson, Makenzie Hill, Carly Fairbanks, Haley McNutt, and Lauren Humphrey. Mike Kelley is the Math Team Coach. Their first tournament that they placed in was the Albertville Math Tournament where the team received 2nd place out of 6 schools in their division, only the second tournament that they had ever participated in. In the third tournament at Pizitz Middle School, they placed 3rd out of 10 schools in their division. At their last tournament hosted by Hoover High School, the team received 5th place out of 11 teams in their division. The teams overall record this math season is 17-7.
