Church Calendar for March 28

Breakthrough Ministry, 805 Midway St. in Hartselle, and Pastor Joe Batts will host Hartselle’s Crusade 2014 through March 28 at 7 p.m. nightly. Prayer time begins at 6:30 p.m. each night. Pastor Charles L. Orr will be the pastor for the week.

Hartselle Holy Church of Christ, 401 Lovelady Street, will host a singing March 29 featuring Faith Trio at 7 p.m. For information, call 256-502-1200.

Trinity Baptist Fusion student ministry will have their second annual 5k. Pre-registration is $20 for the 5k and $10 for the one mile. Late registration after April 6 is $25 and $15. This will be a chip time race. Contact Crystal Mason at clmason@morgank12.org

Trinity Baptist Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, located at 721 Pickens St., will hold Wednesday evening worship services throughout the season of Lent. The services begin at 7 p.m. and are preceded by a light meal at 6 p.m. Come for fellowship, quiet personal prayer, worship and a time of preparation for Easter. The sermon series reflects on the seven last words of Christ from the cross titled CrossWords. Services will be April 2 and 9.

An antique car and tractor show, sponsored by New Life “God’s” Church, will be April 5 beginning 9 a.m. at Tin Top Variety, located at 2999 Hwy 31 S in Hartselle. McKendree United Methodist Church, 2795 Highway 55, Danville, is hosting the Priscilla Shirer Live Simulcast, Sat., April 5, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tickets are $25, which includes lunch. World Harvest Outreach in Hartselle wilkl host a free movie night “Despicable Me 2” on Sun., April 6 at 6 p.m. Concessions will be sold to raise money for youth camp. No childcare provided.

Shiloh Baptist Church will host a community block party April 12, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. featuring The Hurricane Creek Band. This is a free event for the whole family. There will be food, inflatables for the kids, games and much more.

Forrest Chapel United Methodist Church, located at 250 Forrest Chapel Road in Hartselle, will study “The Daniel Plan: 40 Days to a Healthier Life” by Rick Warren each Wednesday through April 16 at 7 p.m. Call 256-773-2730 for more information.

Serenity Baptist Church in Somerville will host The King’s Messengers Quartet during a singing and revival May 30-31 at 7 p.m. and Sun., June 1, at 10:30 a.m.

St. Barnabas Episcopal Church of Hartselle, located at 1450 Sparkman St. NW, holds Sunday services at 10 a.m. followed by an adult Bible lesson and refreshment hour at 11 a.m. The Rev. Joseph Sanderson presides and welcomes all to the family-oriented church.

Hartselle First Assembly, 2222 Highway 31 N in Hartselle, holds focus groups at 10 a.m. and morning worship at 11 a.m. each Sunday. For Sunday evening service, check the church website. Piney Grove Christian Church hosts services each Sunday at 10 a.m. for Sunday School, preaching at 11 a.m., night service at 6 p.m. and each Wednesday for Bible study at 6 p.m.

Fairview-The Grace Place in Falkville offers Celebrate Recovery ministry. Walnut Grove Baptist Church, located at 622 South Bethel Road in Hartselle, is a southern Baptist church located  2.5 miles south of Ala-bama 67 in Priceville. The pastor is John D. Bain. Sunday school is at 10 a.m., worship service is at 11 a.m., evening worship service is at 6 p.m., Wednesday is adult DVD Bible study and youth service at 6 p.m.

Word Alive! Church and pastor Brian Culbreath has weekly radio shows on Sundays at 1:15 p.m. at 91.3 FM and Monday through Friday at 106.3 FM.

Pleasant View Holy Church of Christ on Hogan Road in Falkville (Massey) offers services as follows: Sunday school, 10 a.m.; worship, 11 a.m.; Sunday night, 5 p.m.; Wednesday night Bible study, 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome. First Independent Methodist Church in Decatur will have a men’s Bible study each Tuesday starting at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Hal at the annex bldg. Bring cans for the can trailer every Sunday or Wednesday. Proceeds go toward youth camp.

Cave Springs Baptist Church, located at 187 Cave Springs Road, with Pastor Jason Moore, welcomes you to Sunday school at 9 a.m., morning worship at 10 a.m. discipleship training and AWANA (babies through eighth grade) at 5 p.m. with worship beginning at 6 p.m. On Wednesday, Bible study begins at 6:30 p.m. along with GAs and RAs.

West End United Methodist Church, located at 513 St. Clair St. in Hartselle, with the Rev. Richard Cassis hosts Sunday breakfast and fellowship at 9:45 a.m., Sunday school at 10 a.m. followed by welcome and announcements at 10:50 a.m. and worship service at 11 a.m. Sunday evening worship is at 5 p.m. Wednesday evening Bible study begins at 5 p.m. Bible study with  children’s classes at 6 p.m.

Life House Assembly of God, located on 144 County Road 1212 in Vinemont, holds weekly services on the following schedule: Sunday morning worship and Kid Zone children’s church at 11 a.m. and Wednesday night Bible study at 6 p.m. Pastor is Howard Leslie.
