Man caught with drugs during traffic stop
A traffic stop on Alabama 157 Thursday netted the arrest of a Moulton man after he was caught with prescription drugs.
Billy Andrew Glover, 40, of Moulton was arrested Thursday evening and charged with possession of a controlled substance, improper equipment and improper lane usage. Glover was booked into the Morgan County Jail and released on $3,100 bond.
Morgan County Sheriff’s patrol deputy Joey Coburn initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle on Alabama 157 in the Massey community. Deputies identified the driver of the vehicle as Billy Andrew Glover, 40, of 1568 county road 324, Moulton. During a search of the vehicle, deputies discovered Xanax, morphine, methadone and several prescription drugs as yet unidentified. The suspect told deputies that his intent was to sell the narcotics in his possession.
