Traffic stop nets cocaine, marijuana find
A traffic stop in the Lacey’s Spring community March 26 resulted in the arrest of two people and the confiscation of marijuana and cocaine
The driver, Steve Brandon Bolton, 35, of Owens Crossroads, was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, impeding the flow of traffic and no seat belt. He was released from the Morgan County Jail on a $3,700 bond.
The passenger, Quincy Nathaniel Owens, 31, of Huntsville, was charged with possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana. At the time of this release, he was still in the Morgan County Jail on a $2,800 bond.
Morgan County Sheriff’s patrol deputies initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle on U.S. 231 in the Lacey’s Spring community March 26. During a search conducted by the deputies uncovered a quantity of cocaine, several grams of marijuana and four smoking devices that contained narcotics residue.
A Morgan County Drug Task Force agent was called to the scene to conduct presumptive tests on the illicit substances. The test results were positive for marijuana and cocaine.
