Funeral for Elna Pitman, 86, will be Wed., April 2, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charlie Brown officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Salem Cemetery.

Mrs. Pitman died Sun., March 30, 2014, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born Jan. 21, 1928, in Morgan County to Dock Nois Nappier and Alma Anice Wilson Nappier. She was a homemaker and a member of Salem United Methodist Church. She loved flowers, especially raising her African violets and traveling to various flower shows. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Melissa Pitman; and a brother, Willard Nappier.

She is survived by her husband, Truman Pitman, of Hartselle; a son, Marlin H. Pitman of Cotaco; two grandchildren, Charles Pitman of Huntsville and David Pitman of Cotaco; and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Charles Pitman, David Pitman, Jason Pitman, Terry Nappier, Rickey Joe Smith, Allen Praytor, Randy Praytor and Gary Pitman.
