Black, Tanksley announce engagement

Mr. and Mrs. Jess Black

of Athens are pleased to

announce the engagement

of their daughter, Sara

Glenn Black, to James

Hampton Tanksley, son of

Mr. and Mrs. Greg

Tanksley of Hartselle.

Black-Tanksley

The bride-elect is the

granddaughter of Mr. and

Mrs. Donald Sanders and

Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Black,

all of Athens.

A 2005 graduate of

Clements High School,

she received her doctor of

pharmacy degree from

Samford University. She

is employed by Walmart

Pharmacy.

The prospective groom is

the grandson of Mrs.

James E. Hampton of

Hartselle and the late

James E. Hampton and

Mrs. Harlen J. Tanksley of

Priceville and the late

Harlen J. Tanksley.

A 2002 graduate of

Hartselle High School, he

received a bachelor’s

degree in communications

from The University of

Alabama. He is employed

by Plastic Recyclers SE,

Inc., as a warehouse manager.

The wedding will be

June 7, 2014, at The

Cedars in Tanner.
