Wilma Quattlebaum Looney

Funeral for Wilma Quattlebaum Looney, 84, of Falkville will be Sat., April 19, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. A. Ray Lee officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Falkville City Cemetery. Visitation will be Sat., April 19, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Looney died April 16, 2014, at the Summerford Nursing Home. She was born June 13, 1929, in Morgan County to John Larkin Quattlebaum and Opal Wilcutt Quattlebaum. She was formerly employed at Handy Way Convenience Store as a cashier. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Travis Looney; two sons, Rickey and Roger Looney; a brother, Shirley Jake Quattlebaum; and sisters, Virginia Harber and Janice Lickliter.

She is survived by a daughter, Valerie Powell; and son-in-law, who was like a son to her, Craig Powell; two grandsons, Stephen Powell, (Dorothy) and Nic Powell, whom she loved very much; two brothers, Herschel Stan Quattlebaum, of Washington and John E. Quattlebaum, (Deloris Marty) of Mobile; several nieces and nephews; and many friends, especially Joy Coots.

Pallbearers will be Stephen Powell, Nic Powell, Jason Porter, John Coots, Mike McCurley and Chad Matthews.
