Hartselle JV Tigers split doubleheader
Hartselle’s JV Tigers split a doubleheader on April 12, defeating Etowah 4-2 while losing to Gadsden City 6-5.
Against Etowah, Jake Chaney had an RBI single and scored a run, Will Foote singled and scored twice and Seth Ballew and Caleb Myers each singled.
Ben Kimbrough was the winning pitcher. He allowed one run on five hits while striking out five batters and walking one. Trent Sivley pitched the last inning, allowing one run on two hits while walking one batter.
In the loss to Gadsden City, Lane Anders had a two-RBI single and Chaney, Austin Parker and Collin Blackwood each singled. Parker also knocked in a run while Foote, Myers and Jack Hundley each scored a run.
Scout Alexander was tagged with the loss. He allowed six runs on six hits while striking out two batters and waking one.
