Howard Dixon Chunn

Funeral for Howard Dixon Chunn, 79, of Decatur will be Sat., April 26, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Owens officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Cedar Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Sat., April 26, from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Chunn died Thurs., April 24, 2014, at his residence. He was born Nov. 3, 1934, in Morgan County to Escomb Howard Chunn and Lillian Merrill Sanders Chunn. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and loved to garden and to hunt. Mr. Chunn was formerly employed by and retired from Atlas Cylinder as a manufacturer of air and hydraulic cylinders. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Marisa Chunn.

He is survived by his wife, Joy Wiley Chunn; a daughter, Allison Littrell (William); two beloved grandchildren, Lucy Merrill Littrell and Mamie Grace Littrell; a brother, Russell Chunn (Donna), four sisters, Linda Sivley, Becky Hennen, Charlotte Hardy and Catherine Whittsett; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Roberts, Stanley Roberts, Bob Hall, Jerald Wiley, Tom Whittsett and Terry Murphy.
