Falkville’s boys track team ran away from the competition to clinch the Class 1A, Section 3 championship at Corner High School while the girls team finished second to Decatur Heritage.
Aaron Estes took first place in the 100m dash while Devin Reed and Bryan White finished fifth and sixth. Ryan Sullivan took first in the 200m dash while White and Clay Kyle finished fifth and seventh.
Estes clinched the win in the 400m race with Tuttle and Wilemon finishing third and fourth.
Austin Wilhite, Travis Cole and Brandon Harris took first, second and fourth places in the 110m hurdles.
Bram Miller was the only high jumper to score points in 1A boys. His best effort was a jump of 6-5. He also won the triple jump with a 38-9.5 effort. Estes was second followed by Zack Brown in fourth place.
Miller also took the long jump title followed by Brown and Wilhite in third and fourth places.
Clay Kyle, Ryan Sullivan and William Littrell swept the top three spots in the boys pole vault.
Cole, Estes, Wilhite and Sullivan took first in the 4x100m relay while Blake Bradford, Brian Bradford, Drake Hamilton and Alex Tuttle combined for a win in the 4x800m race.
Cole, Wilemon, Estes and Tuttle took home first place in the 4x400m race.
Daniel Lockhart, Canaan Smith and Lynn Mullins swept the javelin throw, finishing first, second and third.
Lockhart, Smith and Lucas Johnson took second, third and fifth respectively in the discus.
Tyler Roy, George McCabe and Smith were second, third and fourth in the shot put.
Brian Bradford took second place boys 1,600m race while Cade Wilemon and Blake Bradford finished third and fifth, respectively. Bradford, Drake Hamilton and Joze Meza were second, fourth and fifth in the boys 3,200m race.
Wilemon, Bradford and Marco Tona were third, fourth and sixth in the 800m.
On the girls side, Autumn Eddy led the Lady Blue Devils with a first place in the long jump, first place in the javelin, second place in the triple jump and second place in the high jump.
Baylee Lockhart added a first place finish in the shot put.
Kari Watts and Katie Evans were second and seventh in the girls 100m dash while Patricia Kilgore took second in the 400m dash and the girls 1,600m run. Watts added a third place finish in the 400m race. Kilgore was also second in the 800m race.
Evans was also second in the pole vault and fourth in the high jump.
