Falkville hit a trio of triples to key a 12-1 win over Woodville in the first round of the Class 1A North Regional in Huntsville Friday afternoon.

Mackenzie Smith put Falkville on the board 2-0 in the bottom of the first inning, scoring Callie Garner and Bailey Anders.

Alexis Casteel added the second triple in the fourth inning, scoring two more runs. She then scored on Emoni Smith’s triple on the next at bat. That sparked a five-run rally in the fourth inning to put the game out of reach.

Garner was 3-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored to pace the Blue Devils. Mackenzie Smith finished 2-for-2 while Lyndsey Moore, Cheyenne Wilson and Emily Gray had the other hits for the Lady Blue Devils.

Garner earned the win, allowing one run on five hits with a strikeout and a walk.
