Roden, Gentry announce engagement

Jamie and Leah Roden of Hartselle are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Elizabeth Roden, to Wayne Walter Gentry II, son of Wayne and Luanne Gentry of Phenix City.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Kenneth and Carolyn Johnson of Hartselle and the late Layden and Virginia Roden.

A 2008 graduate of Hartselle High School, she received a biomedical science degree from Auburn University and will graduate in May 2015 from Auburn’s Harrison School of Pharmacy with a PharmD degree.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Henry and Edith Gentry Buford and Louise Lowry and the late JoAnne Lowry.

A 2006 graduate of Central High School, he received his Entrepre-neurship and Family Business degree from Auburn University in May 2011.

The wedding will be May 31, 2014, at Oak Island in Wilsonville.
