LETTER: Obama not solely to blame for U.S. problems

Dear Editor,

Alabama, can you really vote for politicians who claim to seek elected office simply to stop Obama’s EPA, when the Environmental Protection Agency was enacted under Republican President Richard Nixon in 1970?

Can you vote for politicians who say that they want your vote so they can protect your religious freedom from being threatened by Obamacare’s requirement that health insurance plans cover birth control medications for women, while they have been providing medications to treat erectile dysfunction all along? Can you vote for politicians who seek elected office in order to keep Obama from taking away your guns, when in America no president has the authority to do? Can you vote for politicians who claim these things, when the office they are running for has no relation to what happens in Washington?

Do these politicians actually believe that we are stupid enough to give them our votes when they stand for nothing but blatant lies?

I hope and believe that Alabamians are smarter than these politicians think we are, and that we will take back our freewill, think through the lies that they are spouting, and make a concerted effort to vote against every candidate who stands for nothing but these blatant lies.

Alabama, we are smarter than these insulting politicians believe that we are! Vote with your minds when you mark the ballot and not with the emotions these snake oil sales people believe they can create in you.
