Danville man charged with failure to register

A Danville man is back in jail after Morgan County Sheriff’s investigators said he had failed to register his address in accordance with the Sexual Offenders Registration Notification Act.

Robert Dewayne Thompson, 46, of 119 Guyer-Brown Private Drive in Danville was placed in the Morgan County Jail June 9 after being charged with failure to register, Section 15-20a-10(f).

Thompson is a registered, convicted sex offender and is required to register his current his current address.

This is the suspect’s second charge of failure to register. His last charge was in May 2013.

Thompson was out on bond at the time of his most recent arrest. He remains in the Morgan County Jail on a $2,500 bond.
