Funeral for Edgar E. Foster, 87, of Decatur will be Thur., June 12, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Foreman officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wed., June 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Foster died Sun., June 8, 2014, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born Aug. 27, 1926, in Limestone County to John Thomas Foster and Mattie Lanier Patterson. He was formerly employed by Inscho’s Mechanical as a pipefitter. He was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran in the “Pacific Theater.” He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Mickie Spain Foster.
He is survived by two sons, Thomas E. Foster of Leoma, Tenn. and Willie Foster of Decatur; two daughters, Diann Helms of Hartselle and Elizabeth Willingham of Decatur; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and special friend and companion, Anna Franks.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
