Fairview: The Grace Place recognizes seniors

Birthday wishes are sent from First Baptist Church Falkville to Ethan James and Jillan Smith, both on June 5, Jennifer Yarbrough on June 7, Janet Woods on June 8 and Cooper Williams on June 9, Levi Birath on June 10 and Jade Chownins on June 13.

Members of Falkville Senior Center attended the countywide Senior Day Picnic at Rhodes Ferry Park in Decatur last Friday.

Birthday wishes are extended to Charles Williams on June 9, Faye Anders on June 10 and Barbara Asherbranner on June 13.

Members of Fairview: The Grace Place wish to thank those who donated blood at their blood drive. They collected 23 pints of blood.

Seniors were recognized at Fairview: The Grace Place Sun., June 1. High school graduates were Aaron Estes and Dakota Fowler from Falkville High School, Lynn Mullins from Hartselle High School, Logan Emerson from Priceville High School and Whit Tarssley from Athens State University.

Visiting with Herman and Adell Gibson have been Eveline Millican, Wayne and Gail Howard of Hartselle, Franklin and Sue Harrison of Decatur and J.C. Dunaway.

Congratulations to the graduation Class of 2014 of Falkville High School who held graduation Thurs. night, May 29. May each of you have a bright future.

Ray and Betty Sanders, Jack and Ina Huck, Scott and Betty Parker, Bill Coard and his daughter, Vickie and Sarah Gaines met with the Class of 1952 graduation class of Falkville High School for breakfast at Libby’s Restaurant at Priceville. Also joining the group were Bob and Charlotte Wise, Shirley Cooper and Pete Lee. Two visitors from the Class of 1953 were also there, Jean Vice and Inez Bates.

Ronna Halbrooks and her son, David, Ken and Debbie Brown and Donnie and Jane Woods attended a cookout at the Decatur home of Jacob and Jana Kirkpatrick.

Sympathy is extended to Susie Cofield, Andrea Rose and Jane Duer upon the death of their mother, Linnie Bryant, on Sun., May 25.

Oneal Murphy celebrated his 70th birthday with a dinner at his home May 19. Guests were his son and wife, Brian and Carol Murphy and their daughter, Autumn, of Tuscaloosa, Lynn and Susie Dean, Breanna and Summer. O’Neal’s wife, Margaret was hostess for the event. The group also cooked out Monday.
