Funeral for Helen Maze,84, of Somerville will be Sat., June 14, at 1 p.m. at Center Springs United Methodist Church with Bro. Dewitt Crowe officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Center Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Fri., June 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Maze died Wed., June 11, 2014, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born May 20, 1930, in Morgan Count to Claude Foster Breeding and Birdie Lee (Nelson) Breeding. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Maze; a daughter, Barbara Nell Maze; and her parents.

She is survived by one son, Larry B. Maze of Decatur; four daughters, Opal West of Somerville, Sandra West of Somerville, Linda Motes (Danny) of Hartselle and Velita Childers (Anthony) of Falkville;  one brother, Harold Breeding of Michigan; five sisters, Eva Zirlott, Opal LaRochelle, Carolyn Knight, Evelyn Winsett, all of Decatur, and Martha Hill of Laceys Spring; 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.
