A graveside service for Carrie Mitchell Fields, 90, of Lacey’s Spring was Wed., June 11, at 11 a.m. at Fields Cemetery in Lacey’s Spring with Peck Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Fields died Sun., June 8, 2014, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born Sept. 8, 1923, in Arkansas to Johnny Arthur Mitchell and Ollie Lawrence Mitchell. She was formerly employed by the U.S. Army Missile Command as a librarian. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Hugo Everette Fields of Lacey’s Spring; a daughter, Jerys Fields Rucker (Billy) of Northport; two grandchildren, Scott Rucker and Cyndi Johnson; and six great-grandchildren.
