The farmers are back at the market with locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables.

Hartselle Farmers Market was operating with four vendors Friday. They were stocked with green beans, red potatoes, squash, okra, peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, blueberries  and homemade  jams and jellies.

“Gardens are a little later than usual because of the wet spring,” said John Hamm. “But hot, dry weather this week has helped a lot. We’ll have plenty of red tomatoes in a week or two.”
Don McCutcheon  added that his sweet  corn will be ripe for harvest within the next few days.
