Gwendolyn Segars

Funeral for Gwendolyn Segars, 87, of Danville was Wed., June 18, at 6 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Mike Vest and Jack Bailey officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.

Mrs. Segars died Mon., June 16, 2014, at Lawrence Medical Center. She was born November 17, 1926, in Lawrence County to James Aron Templeton and Hazel Teague Templeton. She was formerly employed as a cafeteria worker for Danville Schools. She was preceded in death by her husband, T.G. Segars; her parents; and by two grandchildren, Chuck Segars and Dana Segars.

She is survived by four sons, Jimmy Segars, Charles Segars, Jerry Segars and Larry Segars, all of Danville; two brothers, Carl Templeton of Hartselle and Billy Templeton of Danville; a sister, Betty Crow of Danville; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren

Pallbearers were family and friends.

In lieu of flowers: family requests that memorial donations be made to: Meals on Wheels, 1909 Central Parkway, Decatur, AL 35601.
